IN THE PAST
persons with disabilities were often asked or required to be separate, apart, and removed from others. Many communities, however, are discovering the value, joy, and blessing of living life together with one another. To that end, Friendship Ministries offers a new tool for learning and growing as one body TOGETHER in Christ.
is a new, inclusive adult Bible study that provides an important set of tools so that each participant can grow in relationship with God and with one another.
I asked my daughter who has Down syndrome how she felt about the new material. She said, “I like it really much, God bless me with the videos.”
“The curriculum is GREAT and is very thorough. It has many elements that are acceptable for ALL learners, and we are recognizing our own different learning styles through using it.”
“This has been an interesting project and using the computer makes things simpler and more visual for our friends. All good.”
– Betty DeHaan, Waterloo Christian Reformed Church, Waterloo, ON
“Our teacher though that the material was put together very well. Specifically, the videos were very well done and appropriate (media is important in our generation). Overall, I thought that this curriculum was excellent, and we look froward to what Friendship Ministries will do in the future.”
– Jay Williams, Hillsdale Baptist Church, Regina, SK
WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT TOGETHER?
“WONDERFUL, that’s what I have to say about the curriculum. WONDERFUL AND APPEALING. I think that many groups are going to like this, and that it may be easier (less prep) for many to use.”
– Diana Englund, St. Joseph Catholic Church Bread of Life Community, Erie, PA
